Background Information

This 2 bedroomed semi-detached bungalow was purchased in 2013. It had been left unoccupied by the previous elderly lady owner for at least a year during which time a water leak had caused the bathroom floor to disintegrate and the plaster on the walls to become soft and mouldy.

The property was very dated and with the exception of UPVC double glazing, it had not been updated since it was built around 35 years ago.

The kitchen was very cluttered and required a complete refurbishment in order to maximise the potential of the space available.

As well as completely renewing the entire bathroom suite, re-plastering the walls and ceiling and replacing the floor, all of the plumbing for hot and cold water was removed and replaced with new, up to date pipework and fittings in order to eliminate any further leaks.

In addition, the boiler and the central heating system which was in the bungalow, had been condemned several years earlier so the entire system was taken out and replaced by a modern efficient combi-boiler supplying plentiful hot water and central heating to the new radiators throughout the property.

As well as a new electrical consumer unit being installed, a new segregated ring main dedicated for the kitchen was also added to allow for modern day appliances.

The whole property has been re-decorated with the addition of new floor coverings throughout.

The garden to the rear had become overgrown and the neighbouring fence had collapsed. The garden has been cleaned and tidied and a new fence has been erected. In addition, a new roof has been put on the garage, as the existing one was well past repairing. Also, the shed which was obscuring the view of the garden has been dismantled.

At the front, the garden has been tidied, a new side fence has been put up and new gates made to provide a sense of privacy to the front garden and driveway.
